Features of The Heritage Bible©

A totally new, exact, precise, word for word equivalent translation of the Holy Bible from the Hebrew and Greek of the received text.

  1. The Heritage Bible© is the most exact and precise, most true to the original, word equivalent translation ever made.
  2. The Heritage Bible© translates ninety-nine percent of all Hebrew and Greek words with the same English word or phrase, so that you always know that what you are reading is the exact Hebrew or Greek word, not a synonym, and not an interpretation. You will almost never be able to gain more insight into the meaning of the original word by looking it up in the lexicon, because its meaning is consistently given in the English translation of the Heritage Bible©.
  3. The word picture of the original word is given in the translation, so that you are not looking up words in a lexicon to discover the word picture behind the word. The precise meanings and word pictures of the original are worded so as to give a stately and easy to read translation that anyone can read with understanding.
  4. Many important meanings in the text are brought out clearly in the Heritage Bible© that are covered over in the KJV and other translations. For example, The King James Version says in Acts 11:26, "And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch." Other translations are the same. I had often wondered who called them Christians first. Did unbelievers call them Christians because they believed in Christ, or did the Christians call themselves Christians for some reason? When I consulted the Greek text I found the ordinary word for "called" was not the word used, but was chrematizo, to utter a divine oracle, to designate by a divine oracle, corresponding to the word used in the Hebrew Bible to indicate that the prophet was speaking a divine oracle given to him by God. Then I understood that the name Christian was not a tag given to us by the world, nor even by believers, but the name was given to us by a divine oracle from God. So the Heritage Bible© reads, Also by a divine oracle the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. There are many such truths that are covered over in other translations, that are brought out clearly in the Heritage Bible©.
  5. The Footnotes in the Heritage Bible© cover every major word in the Bible, with full expositions of those words, with extensive sermon notes explaining the truth of that word in all the places it is found in the Bible. Many of these articles are hundreds of words in length covering every facet of that word. There are over one hundred notes in the Book of Genesis alone, and over fifty of them are hundreds of words in length expounding such words as, created, heavens, earth, water, light, air, image, Jehovah God, breath of life, spirit, soul, and body, the tree of knowledge of good and evil, a full length sermon on Four Principles From Adam For Fathers, man, woman, God's comforting Himself over the human race instead of repenting as KJV has it, how souls are made, the Messenger of Jehovah (Angel of the LORD in KJV), the Palestinians.... There are over fifty such extensive studies as these, each one hundreds of words in length found in Genesis alone. Some books do not have as many, but some more. There are extensive notes in Job on behamoth and leviathan. Extensive notes on passages that are difficult to interpret in Hebrews, 1 John, and many, many others. And the Heritage Bible© is the only place in the world you will find these extensive, ready to preach or teach notes.
  6. The cross references are restricted and specific, showing where this verse or phrase is referred to or quoted in the other books of the Bible.
  7. The Heritage Bible© translation is based upon the belief that every word of the Bible is breathed out by God and is not the opinions of men, and that we have faithful copies without the smallest letter missing.

Psalm 119:111 HB
"I have taken your testimonies as a heritage forever,
because they are the rejoicing of my heart.
